We are seeking a Litigation Paralegal to provide critical support to attorneys in trial preparation, arbitration, and case management. This position is working with a global law firm with a powerful strategic focus, pioneering work, and a collaborative culture.
Job Description:
This role involves managing document-intensive files, drafting correspondence, e-filing court documents, and coordinating with clients, witnesses, and vendors. The paralegal will assist attorneys in preparing for trials, arbitrations, and other legal proceedings. Responsibilities require strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and familiarity with litigation practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with trial preparation, including organizing and indexing exhibits, preparing trial binders, and managing document files.
- Draft and proofread correspondence, ensuring accuracy and professional formatting.
- Coordinate with trial teams, third parties, and courtroom personnel.
- Conduct e-filing for motions and pleadings, including after-hours filings as needed.
- Catalog and process hard copy and electronic client documents, including utilizing document review platforms like Relativity.
- Prepare exhibits and demonstratives for depositions, hearings, and trials.
- Manage project tasks, docket deadlines, and create task lists for project completion.
- Perform substantive online research and various administrative duties.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience
- Litigation experience in defense law (trial and arbitration experience required).
- Degree not required; paralegal certification is a plus.
- Proficient in legal resources such as Lexis, Westlaw, and document management tools.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and PowerPoint.
- Positive attitude, strong communication skills, and ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment.
